Geographic position is collected non-continuously at the user's request and used to compile a list of butterfly sightings. Each entry in the butterfly sightings list contains the following personal information: geographic location, date, and time. This information is only kept on the user's device and is never transmitted to an outside service.

Location information is collected by the App for the purposes of compiling a list of butterfly sightings and displaying interactive maps via the Google Maps service.

The User controls personal information stored on the device. The App provides facilities for the user for full control over the information in the sightings list, with capabilities to view, edit, add, and delete individual entries, as well as to delete all recorded entries.

The information in the sightings list is stored in private storage on the device and is accessible only by the App.

The "Export Sightings" function of the App can, at the user's request, export this information to a non-secured XML file on the device. This is done to enable the use of the collected data outside the App.

All personal information collected by the App is deleted when the App is uninstalled from the device. Exported data are not automatically deleted; these are not controlled by the App after export and have to be deleted separately.

To use the geolocation capabilities of this App, you must consent to the App collecting and using personal information as outlined in this policy.

To use the mapping capabilities of this App, you must agree to be bound by the Google Terms of Service and the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service.

You can revoke or grant your consent at any time by using the button at the bottom of the Privacy page. Revoking your consent will disable the functionality of the App that requires collecting and using personal information.
